The Jozani forest tour offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore Zanzibar’s only National Park which is also known as Jozani-Chwaka Bay National Park. The forest spans an area of 50 square kilometers and is rich in biodiversity featuring various species of flora and fauna. It is particularly famous for its population of the endemic Zanzibar red colobus monkeys which are one of the rarest primates in Africa.
During the tour guests will be guided through a network of nature trails where they can observe not only the red color best monkeys but also other wildlife such as Skye’s monkeys, Bush pigs and various bird species. It lasts around 3 hours and includes a knowledgeable guide who will give full information into the forest ecosystem and medical plants.
